Question 1 of 23

CREATING LIFE THROUGH THE LENS OF LOVE is a personal leadership course that embraces the Power of  Love as its core guiding principle in helping people grow the self-sustaining ability to lead and be led as a co-creator with Source Love.

The curriculum teaches  1. Love-Conscious Leadership; 2. Energy Mastery; and 3. Soul-Inspired Goal-Setting and Prioritizing. People who enroll in this course are deeply invested in creating their lives through the Lens of Love in alignment with their true purpose and passion. They are invested in leading themselves, their families, their workplaces, and their communities from a love-conscious awareness.

Jody Marquis, the founder of the Chance for Change Institute and the creator of the Creating Life through the Lens of Love course, is a Vermont woman who has fiercely and radically overcome adversity in her own life. While on her journey to heal her own past, AND through her work helping others, she noticed that women fundamentally exist without embracing the power of their own internal and unconditional self-love - the foundation to loving and leading their families, workplaces, and communities with courage and confidence.

This often results in women working in low-income jobs, doing work they do not love, struggling in their relationships, and neglecting their health. It is Loving Lioness Coach Jody's mission to cultivate love and leadership in individuals, teams, and organizations as a way to raise the consciousness of our planet. The world will change as people decide to change… starting with one’s own self.

Coach Jody is currently collecting data that validates the connection between wellbeing and prosperity. During her advanced studies, Jody was introduced to and has embraced the powerful influence of love through the lenses of science; psychology; and Universal, natural, and spiritual laws and truths.

ENERGY MASTERY is the foundation of living in alignment with your true self.  During the Creating Life through the Lens of Love course, you are agreeing to read, reflect, discuss, and practice habits and strategies that will transform your energy and allow you to walk in the world with more grace and ease as you embark on your journey of love and soul-inspired living, leading, and entrepreneurism.

LOVE-CENTERED LEADERSHIP is inspired by the work of Jack Russell and Glenda Otto, Center for Self-Sustaining Leadership.

Live Moral Courage: Learn the art of walking through fear with courage - even when you don’t think you can.

Self-Sustaining Self-Improvement: Self-Improvement Skills include observation, self-reflection, thought shifting, soul-inspired goal setting, continuous improvement, after-action reviews, self-accountability, and self-love.

Deep Self-Knowing: The relationship with yourself is the most important relationship you will ever have. The way you embrace yourself is a reflection of how you embrace others. In this course, you will explore yourself and create an authentic leader profile that reflects your strengths and areas for improvement. Your Leader Profile will give you clarity about your communication skills, self-management and leadership skills, temperament style, core values, operating beliefs, character traits, and personal spiritual philosophy.

Develop Connected, Transformative Relationships: Living a Love-Centered Life means that you bring love to your relationships with others in ways that cultivate connection and belonging, raise the collective frequency, and create harmony with the Universal Source of Love.  In this course, you will receive a road map for listening, hearing, honoring needs, and making requests in ways that people are most willing to respond positively.  You will be invited to become the catalyst for creating communities of connection in your family, workplace, and community.

Question 18 of 23

Co-Creating a Powerful and Transformative Learning Environment for Shared Conscious Evolution

_____ 1. I understand that we relate to each other as co-creative partners and allies who are supporting and encouraging each other to live from the futures we are committed to creating.

1.1 I agree to share, in deeply authentic and transparent ways, about the FUTURE I am committed to creating, in alignment with my true self, even though I may not know what that means – I choose to embrace the (future me) and transform my past through the lens of leader and victor – while acknowledging and honoring myself for any victimizations that may have happened in my life. To be a victor is to rise above and take back personal power, it is not about condoning victimization.

1.2 I agree to be accountable for being who I NEED TO BE in order to create the future I want by sharing, in deeply authentic and transparent ways, the actions I am committed to taking each week to grow my skills and to share whether or not I am in integrity with these actions.

1.3 While I am the arbitrator of my integrity, to live in alignment with the future I am committing to creating, I agree to relate to my peers as co-creators of that future and to be open and receptive to their reflections and support. As such, I agree to value and consider their perspectives and contributions, even if I ultimately choose a different path for myself.

1.4 I agree to hold the intentions of all my sisters in this course with me with the same sense of loving commitment as I do my own. I agree to learn the commitments of others in the Creating Life through the Lens of Love Community and extend support and encouragement and energetically bless those intentions regularly.

A

I understand that we relate to each other as co-creative partners and allies who are supporting and causing each other to live from the futures we are committed to creating.

Question 19 of 23

2.   We take 100% responsibility for our wellbeing for the duration of the course.

2.1 I agree to take full responsibility for my wellbeing as I move through the course. I realize that, although the Creating Life through the Lens of Love course is transformative, I am clear it is NOT in any way a substitute for personal therapy, other mental health, healing, or private coaching services offered by licensed clinicians. I am aware that, by enrolling in this course, I am doing so at my own risk and with the intention of being responsible and accountable for my needs. I make this choice consciously and with a sound mind.

2.2 Should I find myself experiencing difficult emotions that I am not able to manage myself, or if I am experiencing a crisis that I am having difficulty navigating, I agree to be responsible for generating any additional support that I might need by seeking emergency services within my community by calling 911, going to the emergency room, or by dialing 211. If seeking support during regular business hours (9 a.m.- 5 p.m.), I may contact Jody directly, with the understanding that she cannot be responsible for my emotional or physical wellbeing, but she can serve as a catalyst for helping me seek support outside of the course. If she cannot be reached, I understand that I am responsible for contacting the resources I need to ensure my wellbeing. In Vermont, my local 211 services can help me find Mental Health Crisis or In-person Crisis Intervention phone numbers local to me.

2.3 I understand and agree that, if I do work in the field of mental health, coaching, healing, or any other service that may be in alignment with the needs of the women attending the Creating Life through the Lens of Love course, I am forbidden from soliciting or offering these services to my fellow students without the written consent of Jody Marquis. I understand that Students who breach this request will be terminated from the course without cause, and there will be no refund of any funds.

2.4 If I am unable to find a certified or licensed coach or therapist to work with privately, I will reach out to Jody Marquis, the founder of this course, for a referral.

A

I will take 100% responsibility for my well-being for the duration of the course.

Question 20 of 23

3.   We relate to breakdowns, disappointments, obstacles, and delays in the course, and life, in creative and resourceful ways.

3.1 I agree to use events, both in the course and in my life, as opportunities to deepen into greater levels of self-awareness, self-love, and self-responsibility as a way to gain mastery over the application of course material.

3.2 When faced with challenging circumstances, I agree to look for creative solutions and to communicate in ways that are generative of possible solutions, assuming that others are doing their best and are on my side.

3.3 I agree to strive to see myself as the source in all situations. This means that I will try to understand how I may have contributed to and/or co-created what is occurring and I will also remain aware of my commitment to respond to everyone and everything in generative and resourceful ways.

In the Creating through the Lens of Love Program, we strive to use Nonviolent Communication and to take responsibility for our thoughts, feelings, and needs.

I feel _____ because my need for ____ is going unmet AND I choose _________ as a way to be accountable for my needs.

I understand that, in this community, we believe that people are often victimized in life and we understand that victimization changes how we view ourselves, others, and the world as a whole.  Chance for Change asks all students to ensure that each indvidual and their story is acknowledged, heard, and seen to validate everyone’s life experience. We ask that you be willing to become the victor in your life and seek to create purpose from past experiences.  Therefore, we ask that students refrain from blaming others, shaming themselves, or complaining about the past. Instead, we ask that students begin to see the past through the lenses of lessons, gifts, and silver linings, which becomes easier as awareness increases and skills are practiced.

Because I went through _____ I have been given the lesson of______. I am (able or not able) to embrace this lesson in my life right now and I can acknowledge that it’s an option if I choose.

A

I agree.

4.2 I agree to be more interested in the possibility of my transformation and in what I can learn in the present moment than I am in being right, making someone else wrong, saving face, avoiding domination, or in looking good.

4.3 I agree to set aside what I think I already know and remain open and available to the course leaders and other participants so that I might discover what I may not even know that I don’t yet know.
