As families work harder, have less, and as service providers do more and get paid less, it will require strong and connected relationships to ensure the well-being of people is at the forefront of priority in our homes, workplaces, and organizations.
Science has shown that connection and belonging are the foundation for thriving in life.
Overwhelmingly, more and more social programs whom serve people are becoming more an more about compliance and less and less about human connection and belonging.
CREATING THE CONDITIONS FOR CONNECTION AND BELONGING IN OUR HOMES, WORKPLACES, AND COMMUNITIES IS ESSENTIAL TO A THRIVING WORLD.
When people are disconnected from themselves and each other they operate from fear. Fear will always lead to survival.
Fear is driven from limiting belief systems that unconsciously drives 95% of a person's daily actions.
The belief system is developed through the experience of one's life. Relationships from our childhood drive how we interact with each other as adults. Whatever emotional environment one grows up in, will be the same emotional environment they create in their life unless they learn new emotional intelligence and skills that allow them to do otherwise.
Am I enough.
Do I belong?
Am I loved?
Am I heard?
Am I seen?
Will I be supported?
Am I safe here?
Will be understood?
These are questions that humans are asking as they go about trying to meet their needs in the environments in which they live, work, and play.
If these thoughts are what drive actions, and these thoughts are triggered from the limiting belief system, then you can expect stress, overwhelm, drama, and frustration among whatever group is trying to exist as a family or team. It will show up in people's behavior.
Suzie keeps calling in sick
Johnny says yes to everything and will eventually burn out.
Joey seems lazy, but is really shutting down.
Lucy doesn't ask for help, but it looks like she is avoiding her work.
Deadlines are missed.

Before Self-Sustaining Leadership I was struggling to lead my team. I found myself getting up earlier, going to bed later, doing the work of others, getting angry and resentful, and as my company grew I saw the quality go down. I knew how to be my best with me, and with my work. I did not know how to lead others to do the work so I could be growing the program vs. stuck in the program fixing fires all day long.
