I said... you are not alone.
I, too, have found myself on plateaus. Brutal plateaus... stuck, and unfulfilled. It’s a painful place to be. The dread of waking up every day and just going through the motions, smiling through and over pain, longing to do work that truly matters and makes a difference, while getting bogged down by bureaucracy, jumping over the hurdles and through the hoops to try to do what’s right and best for those I served.
I have lived through tolerating those in leadership roles who are operating from their own fear and hidden agendas. I have lived going home every night wanting and craving more acknowledgment and passion in my relationship with my husband, and not knowing how to get it. Truthfully, my path of unfulfillment led me to giving comfort to myself through my end-of-the-day habits... which only made me feel worse. After all, I told myself, nights were the only time of the day I had for myself and no one was going to take away the few choices I could claim in my day.
Please hear me when I say this.
Being where I was, as painful as it was, has become the miracle that moved me to FINALLY take action and to FINALLY feel FULFILLED.
